In my experience, grinding it up definitely helps make the hanksite dissolve faster. You can add the crushed up hanksite to room temperature water, no need to heat it up, and stir. Once you dissolved the hanksite, you may notice that there is sand or clay in the bottom of the vessel. This is normal as hanksite has lots of impurity minerals in it that won’t dissolved.
